Brigaldara

The Brigaldara winery is located just outside the town of San Floriano, in the heart of the Valpolicella region, north of Verona. It is at the entrance of the Marano valley, one of the four valleys that make up Valpolicella's classical area, the original and oldest wine production area of the region.

The estate covers 50 ha vineyards and the most signature one is the "Case Vecie" vineyard. Abandoned for a long time, in 1994 it was entirely replanted with Corvina and Corvinone. This southerly exposed plot is undoubtedly the best place to produce top-shelf Amarone. The two flagship wines, The Amarone Riserva San Floriano and the Amarone Case Vecie , are the perfect examples. Roberto Ferrarini, who was also the legendary winemaker of Quintarelli, was one of the co-winemakers before he passed away in 2014.

Owner Stefano Cesari was once served as the President of Valpolicella Region Grower's Association, and currently is the Vice President of the "Amarone Families" (Members including Allegrini, Begali, Brigaldara, Guerrieri Rizzardi, Masi, Musella, Speri, Tedeschi, Tenuta Sant'Antonio, Tommasi, Torre d'Orti, Venturini and Zenato).
